The 2D tech looks odd, kinda looks embossed (yuck) I guess its just the style you did it in, and perhaps you can do without the drop shadow too. =/ As for the 3D, awsome as usual, the lighting is great too, although the 2 small lasers looked somewhat crooked. GJ though, great work.
hmmmm..... i would get pretty much happy at the result of this image if it was mine... why are u not? damn it viper... u are one of the top notch members of DA and u still dont apreciate ur own worx??? you're on the right track.. i luv the overall image.. the beam could use a LOT more work with blueish lines swirling up around it, the 2D is quite good and eye-catching, the colours used are really nice and cool.
i do believe this is your top work... apart from BEHEMOTH..
keep it flowing bro... cant wait till the launch of the pack at AAG.
well iuno viper, evrything looks good that you come up with, but since you think the 2ds shit, i'l comment on it too, the beam as usual looks nice but you need to start thinking elsewhere with the energy sources, in my opinion, i hope this doesnt sound harsh, but i do like the two smaller ones that kinda beem of with the light tips on the end, anyways the renders are all really nice, like they normally are, just try a different style of 2d maybe, well i dunno what do i konw im just saying shit
anyways hey i gotta give u some crits every so often, yur stuffs always so good anyways. oh well see if that leads you anywhere, nice
What can I say man this looks great. You did a terrifc job on the design aspect of the piece. The 2d frames the render quite well, the horizontal lines moving toward the foacl point give it a great feeling of movement. The render is beautiful and flows well and keep the eye moving. The colors choices are great as well, fully complimenting the blue hues. for a terrific piece.
the render is excellent and the lighting kicks ass but i still have this beef about your 2D... Drop the brushes and do your own man, it looks so much better when you spend that extra time and cusomize it on a per piece basis. I'd love to see what a piece like this would look like with some custom brushwork.
